Sempra’s utility Oncor, the state’s largest electricity deliver company, powers millions across more than 100 counties with dependable energy while strengthening the grid to support reliability during severe weather. From growing cities to rural towns, Sempra's Texas utilities1 deliver infrastructure and innovation to help meet the state's surging energy needs.
CALIFORNIA
Powering progress in our home state
California is where Sempra’s story began. Sempra's California utilities, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), provide safe, reliable energy to roughly 25 million residents and businesses across Southern and Central California. Together, these Sempra utilities are modernizing energy systems and strengthening infrastructure to support a more resilient energy future.

Empowering our people to give back
The roughly 20,000 employees across Sempra companies are passionate about helping others by volunteering their time, talents and financial resources to strengthen the places where they live and work. The Sempra Foundation’s My Energy program helps amplify that impact by matching certain charitable donations and providing grants tied to volunteer hours.
1 Sempra indirectly owns an 80.25% interest in Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) and accounts for Oncor as an equity method investment due to certain ring-fencing measures, governance mechanisms and commitments that limit Sempra's ability to direct management, policies and operations of Oncor. Sempra also indirectly owns a 50% interest in Sharyland Utilities L.L.C.
