Sempra Energy is proud of the commitment to the community our employees show every day on and off the job. We team with our employees to urge them to give back through three programs:

Sempra Employee Giving Network (formerly Energy for Others)
Sempra Employee Giving Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run by and for the employees of Sempra Energy. Through the Sempra Employee Giving Network, employees can make direct contributions to any nonprofit group through payroll withholdings.

Matching Gifts
To foster giving by employees, The Sempra Energy Foundation funds a Matching Gifts program for gifts made to educational institutions, as well as to groups focused on arts and culture. The Foundation matches employees' gifts dollar for dollar pending verification of the gift. Requests for matching gifts must start with Sempra Energy employees.

Volunteer Incentive Program
The Sempra Energy Foundation also supports our employees' contribution of time and talent to nonprofit groups through our Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP). Employess who volunteer at least 10 hours for a public charity or a school may request a VIP grant grant from the Sempra Energy Foundation to that charity (or school). Employees can earn $10 per hour for every hour of volunteer service for their charity (minimum 10 hours and maximum of 25 hours). Requests for VIP grants must begin with Sempra Energy employees.
