The Office of Diversity and Inclusion sets up and maintains contacts and relationships with key community, education and business groups, including advocacy, consumer and trade groups, and civil rights, community and grassroots groups.
We maintain an open dialogue and exchange information to keep abreast of the changing needs and interests of our customers and the communities where we do business.
In employment, we work with a broad array of groups, including minority, women's and employment-development agencies, to provide information about job opportunities and our Affirmative Action goals. We urge them to refer potential applicants. Many of Sempra Energy's employees also take part in career days, job fairs and recruitment fairs at community colleges and universities.
We're involved and show leadership in areas that have an impact on the well-being of our customers, their families and the communities where we all live, work and conduct business.
